A little over 17 years ago, two massive earthquakes struck the country of El Salvador. The 7.6 magnitude earthquakes struck consecutively, leaving the country in ruin and devastating the inhabitants. In response to the crisis, Ron & Sherry Lapka travelled to El Salvador to assist with the recovery efforts. Through their involvement with the recovery efforts they felt the Lord place a burden upon their hearts and thanks to the influence of several connections, could feel Him calling to them.
Heeding the Lord’s call, Ron & Sherry later returned to El Salvador as Global Workers where they, along with their two daughters Charis and Kaelyn, have ministered for over 10 years. The Lapka’s ministry is a family effort, each of them contributing to various aspects of their ministry. A few of their ministry endeavours include small group ministry, community outreach and leadership development. They’ve partnered with their community, collaborating on community initiatives. Charis and Kaelyn are involved with the Worship and Sunday School ministries and help with outreaches whenever they’re able.
While they maintain a very busy schedule, the Lapkas are thankful for their health, the Lord’s provision and His protection. As a family, they are doing well and intend on maintaining their focus on their ministry as a family.
Please pray for:
- Favour and anointing as they minister to people
- For increased hunger for a move of the Holy Spirit
- Increased quality of education for their two daughters
