Changes

It has been an interesting last few weeks. A couple of our closest friends moved away from our city; with such small numbers in our community already, 2 less sure makes a big difference. We are praying for both of these individuals to be successful in the parts of the world they have travelled to. We know that our Father will guide their steps and let them be a light wherever their final destination may be.
As we have previously mentioned, it has been difficult to find people that are seeking in this very conservative area. Over the past few months, we have been looking into new opportunities for reaching out and trying to find creative ways to connect with people who may be curious, but don’t know where to turn. With that, we came across an organization that uses Social Media to advertise The Word. This group has a website that allows people to receive The Book within a few days of ordering it online, completely free to them. We connected with this group to see if there was a way we could assist them and it turns out that our province did not currently have a contact person to follow-up with those that had received literature. This means that if someone had a question about something they read, they would have no one to ask. After some prayer, we decided to get involved, not knowing what to expect or how many people this would put us in contact with.
But, our amazing Father always blows away our expectations. In our first 3 weeks, there have been 18 people who have ordered a book. Talk about WOW!! Many of them are under the age of 30 and are curious as to what this book really contains and why it is so controversial. We have been able to follow-up to various degrees with all of them… some have deep questions, others just want to read on their own for a while and will get back to us, while others don’t want anything to do with us at this point. We’re excited for the journey that each one is on and are here for when they are ready to go deeper in their walk.
1 Corinthians 3:6-9 says
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but G.d has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only G.d, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in G.d’s service; you are G.d’s field, G.d’s building.
We may not always know what our part of the growth process may be, but we are praying for these 18 (and counting) individuals who have taken a big step in their faith journey. Please stand with us and pray for them as well; we can celebrate together that His Word is getting into the hands of those who are seeking and will rejoice together as the fruit pours in!
