In Global Stories

A lot has happened since I last wrote. Unfortunately, we are currently in a strict lockdown. We are only able to leave for grocery shopping that is within walking distance. The cafés and restaurants are back to only serving take out and our curfew has been made even earlier than it was before.

During our winter lockdowns, our weather was rainy and gross so even though we were stuck inside, we didn’t necessarily want to be out anyways. However, now our weather is beautiful and I am finding it very challenging not to be allowed to enjoy the lovely spring weather.

Although there are challenges that come with the lockdown, having my husband home during the day has been really nice. We have been taking advantage of our cute little balcony where we are enjoying eating our meals and drinking cold brew coffees. It’s a great way to start and end our days.

The local discipleship school had its last week of classes just before the lockdown was announced. I am happy that their last week of classes happened in person. On their last day, I joined them for the devotion, and afterward, we celebrated with breakfast. Please keep the students in your prayers as they are still planning and figuring out the internship before they officially graduate.

Our plans seem to change often but we are trusting that our Father has the best plan for us.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
Psalm 28:7

Prayer Requests
– Pray for the discipleship students as they will be completing their school year with an internship
– Please keep us all in prayer as we are currently in a strict lockdown
– Pray God’s favor for a visitor visa to Canada

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support. We are so thankful for each of you!
