It has been an amazing summer and fall, back in Canada, reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and spending lots of time with family. As we look ahead and focus on a new country, new people group, and new everything else, we can’t help but start to dream a little about what the future holds for our family.

Think about this for a minute…

Sandy beaches, amazing tropical weather, and sweet spices that scent the air—compares to nothing else we have ever experienced.

And I could do without it all. I like my cozy Albertan weather and lifestyle. The thought of living in 40-degree weather isn’t very appealing to me.

Ten years ago, I would have said “no” but today, it’s a dream that I am looking forward to!

As I mature in my Christian walk, I realize that it’s more than just what I want. We are called to be a light to the nations! To go to the hard places in order that all may hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. For that, I will say goodbye to life as I know it and step outside of my comfort zone, knowing that the One who has called us is leading the way.

We know that where we are called is a place filled with dark spirits—a history that only the love of Jesus can break. We know that the Lord has an abundant harvest prepared for this people group who have been waiting for so long to hear the Good News, trapped by their lack of knowledge of Jesus…

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Romans 10:14

Our journey there is only a couple of months away, and every day, we are dreaming more and more about how we can reach these least-reached people! We are starting to pray and pour into this nation from afar, falling in love with a people we have not yet met. We are believing in a great move of God that only He can do—settling for nothing less.

Dream big with us—join us in this amazing adventure that God has prepared for not just our family, but maybe yours as well. We cannot do this alone.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
