Hello everyone—we are Hugh and Taliya and we are moving to the Middle East!
Our mission is to make disciples who make disciples and to know and share the amazing love of God. We both went to Bible College and got married in 2021. We are a photographer and videographer couple and hope to use our skills to build relationships, showcase the beauty of the Middle East, and share testimonies of what the Lord is and has been doing there.
We are planning to move in July 2024 and are currently preparing for our big move. In preparation, we have begun speaking at churches and summer camps, having people partner with us. This summer, we had the opportunity to speak—two of these places have played a significant role in Taliya’s faith journey and it was an honour to share our hearts with them. We were also blessed to share with our home church, and hope to share with other churches this fall.
This fall, Hugh is attending his last semester before completing his bachelor’s in linguistics, with a convocation in the spring. Taliya is taking on more videography job opportunities as well as working part-time. In this time of waiting and preparing, we will also be praying for the Middle East, connecting to God’s heart, and spending lots of time with friends and family.
As the season changes and the autumn leaves fall, we invite you to be praying along with us for God to prepare our hearts for what’s ahead, for God’s perfect timing, and for even more of a hunger for Jesus. We are excited for what God has in store and anticipate so much. The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few.
