It has been a very good year of ministry in Quebec, Western Canada, the Arctic, and East Africa. Souls saved, lives delivered, and people discipled. At the same time, it has been a difficult couple of years for Shelly and I with family situations that have stretched our faith in ways we have not experienced before. Thank you for praying for ‘all’ of us.
Recently Gary returned from ministry in Nunavik with Pastor Dan Bennett of Campbell’s Bay Qc. A week before departure many doors remained closed. Though we considered cancelling the trip, we are thankful we moved forward. One significant opportunity came in the village of Salluit. Upon arrival, we were glad we prayed for barriers to be removed. Over the following weeks, many people said, “You’ve come at just the right time.“
This fun video of Salluit gives you a glimpse of where we were. The ‘music’ that you hear is called throat singing, which began as a competition for ladies to do when standing face to face and trying to make each other laugh. The first to laugh lost at the competition. Much like our ”you blinked first!”
The Anglican church in the middle of the first frame is where we had a small prayer meeting on our first night. It is the only church in town at present. Bishop Annie is a Spirit-filled lady and welcomed us to Salluit.
Diane and I first met over a year ago on a camping trip with three other families. She was struggling with addictions, anxiety, and depression. Life seemed hopeless.
It was a wonderful surprise when I saw her in church during this recent trip. Dan and I spent time with her in prayer and reading scripture. Diane showed a tremendous desire to walk with God and be free from addictions.
Please pray for Diane’s parents Zack and Elizabeth. Both are Christians but they are in the midst of a difficult separation. Let us believe for healing and restoration.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom from the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Isaiah 61:1
When Rebecca (shown with her son and niece) requested we come to pray in her Kuujjuaq home because of evil spirits manifesting there, I wrote to many of you.
That Sunday afternoon Charlie, Jeannie, Betsy, and I went to their home. There we read scripture, prayed, and with authority invited the Holy Spirit to come and invade the people and every room.
Rebecca tells us she is no longer afraid to be in her home. God put to flight everything that represented darkness. We praise God!
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…” Ephesians 6:12
We can enter His gates with thanksgiving and His court with praise because of you! We thank you again for being such an integral part of this ministry God has called us to. We express our deepest gratitude to God and to you for the blessings of the past year and for you journeying with us.
Thank you for your faithfulness, your love, and your presence in our lives.
With love from,
