“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

2 Timothy 1:7

May was a busy month for us! From attending a conference in Surrey, filming music videos for our church, going to our embassy appointment, competing in the Starbucks Barista Championship, and hosting a fundraiser at our home, it was a busy but very fulfilling month.

We had the opportunity to attend the ACOP Biennial National Conference in Surrey, where we had the chance to meet and connect with so many churches across Canada to pray and worship together for the week. What a blessing it was to be there, be prayed over, put faces to names, and make new friends. After the conference, we went to our visa application appointment at the embassy in Vancouver and we think it went very well! We are very hopeful and eager to hear back from them on the results.

We hosted a fundraiser pop-up cafe at our home where friends and family gathered to support us and our mission. It was a great opportunity for our community to come together and mingle. We counted over 75 people who came to our home that afternoon and we raised over $1300 in donations. We want to thank everybody who came and supported us!

We also had the opportunity to be a part of a worship music video recording with Brock Fehr and the C3 Saskatoon worship team (our home church) for an album release happening very soon! Taliya assisted in the videography side of things and I handled the photography. It was a learning curve as it was foreign territory for us to be involved with music videos but we learned lots and loved being a part of a production that brings glory to God.

As we take more steps towards being overseas, God has been teaching us a lot! We have felt an incredible sense of peace and knowing that this is in God’s hands and He is trustworthy. That’s not to say it’s totally without stress, but we are learning to continually give our worries and cares to Him. We want to encourage you to also submit your plans to God and trust in Him, whatever this chapter of life holds for you, He is a good father who loves us and takes care of us! We do not want to do this on our own and we want to partner with you. Your support sends us overseas.

Next Month

We are carving out time to put more focus on preparing to move. This includes going through everything we own to decide what we’ll bring, scheduling time to speak at churches and camps and connecting with individuals about becoming partners with us! Very soon we will be visiting and sharing at Eston Full Gospel Church, Swift Current Full Gospel Church, and Wheatland Community Church in Weyburn so if you attend those churches, we will see you soon!

Prayer Points

  • Pray for God’s will regarding our visa approval
  • Pray about supporting us financially, and if that is a way that you are able to partner with us
  • Pray that we would be able to manage our time well, we feel like there’s so much to do and not enough time to do it
  • Intercede for the Middle East, that people would become curious about Jesus and encounter someone who can disciple them

We are so blessed by your continual prayers and support for us, and we want to thank you. If you have any questions or simply want to chat with us, click on our names below and use “Contact Us.”
