Disciples who make disciples.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
We have been encouraged lately to remember this simple truth: that when we are tired, weak, and downtrodden, we can look to Him. He is not shaken, and we can trust that He will hold us fast.
Ministry updates
E recently met with a local believer in one of the neighbourhoods that we have been doing follow-ups in for the last several years. She wants to partner with us in outreach, but more so, wants to start a fellowship meeting in her home. We are praying through and putting in place the next steps, but the plan is for worship, prayer, the Word, good food, and fellowship. This has been our dream form day one, and it’s exciting to see it beginning to work out. Please pray for wisdom and safety in this endeavour!
A man D led to the Lord and has been discipling for the last couple of years recently made the big step and was baptized last month. We are so grateful for all the Lord has done in his life and we pray that God will continue to use him. He is a man of bold faith and conviction and it has been a privilege to walk with him in this journey.
E recently led and planned an intensive mobilization course in our city. We were so grateful to have our first course with locals helping lead! What an honour to stand with them as they reach not only their own people, but the surrounding nations in the region. Plans have been made for more courses in the next eight to nine months – the hard work is just getting started!
Family updates
This season of family life is truly sweet. We are so grateful for our extremely energetic toddler, who delights in sharing his treats, copying everything his big brother does, and is very quickly becoming bilingual. He has been enjoying getting to go to hockey practice on Saturday mornings and have his big brother on the ice with him helping coach. He is truly our little ray of sunshine and we are enjoying him and this stage so much. Now if only he would sleep!
Big J has been on a rapid growth spurt and there is now no denying it – he is not only taller than his mother, she is looking up at him! He still loves sports, and continues to play not only hockey, but every school sport he can possibly participate in. School has been a big change for him over the last year and a half, and he is now primarily educated in English. However, we were pleased that he recently passed the 1st language (native speaker) exam in our local language, and has now been studying French in school.
After moving apartments in the summer, we are finally starting to feel settled in our new home. We hadn’t planned on moving in the middle of such a busy season, but it felt like the Lord dropped a gift into our laps and we had to take it. Our new apartment, though smaller, is much safer for Little J (no sketchy stairs!), and is a seven-minute walk for Big J to school and very close to the metro. We could not be more thankful to live here, and have been enjoying getting to know our new neighbours.

Prayer requests
Thank you so much for partnering with us. We are so grateful for all that God has done in the last almost nine years. It has been truly a privilege to watch Him at work, and there is nowhere else we would rather be.
With love, and in service of Him,
