Hello Friends & Partners,

This is our first newsletter about our adventure to Ecuador in 2027!

This big change coincides with our retirement, and we’re finding there are a lot of bases to cover: filling out official documents, learning Spanish, doing courses to prepare us as new overseas workers, house rental arrangements—including a garage sale, and preparing to visit churches to share with them God’s vision for what lies ahead.

Along with that, we are continuing to lead our church. In particular, giving the time, thought, and attention to the transition process our church is in—doing all we can to set Neil & Sarah (who will take our place) up for success.

We are excited for what’s ahead, even if at times, we’re a bit overwhelmed by all there is to do. We are working to prioritize what’s most important, and not be intimidated by the unknowns.

We covet your prayers:

1. To prioritize our time as best we can, while tackling the “to-do list.”

2. For our church’s transition process, that we will serve our church family and community well.

3. That the Lord would direct us toward the churches we visit—making our plans known.

Thanks so much for your care and support.

Blessings,

David & Donna
