“Be careful of sheep stealing!”

Disciples who make disciples.

There is a flurry of life all around! People are suddenly appearing out of nowhere seeking truth. New believers are being immersed and discipled. And people are asking for a copy of the Bible.

The Lord is answering prayers (yours and mine)! I specifically asked for 3-4 guys I could become an “older brother” to—at your reading of this, I have 4 younger guys in my life.

One is not yet a believer. When we meet, he comes with a list of questions. He’s finished reading the New Testament and is diving into the Old. He is hungry to experience God—so that is what we can pray for. He says he’s definitely on the path to make a decision to follow Jesus…

The other 2 young guys were immersed the week after Easter! They are both from unreached areas of the country with few to no believers. We started studying the Bible together—as Jesus is the one we want to follow.

“Be careful of sheep stealing!” I strongly heard God’s voice—as I was thinking about the other young guy I’ve been meeting with. I’ve been worrying for him, wanting to protect him from making bad decisions; I was almost coming to the point of wanting to control him.

But again, I heard, “Be careful of sheep stealing! He is not your sheep, he’s MINE!” I suddenly realized God is the one taking care of him, and He is allowing me to be part of it. What a privilege and also, what a relief that I don’t need to do everything and be watching his every move. I can leave him to Jesus, be available as God leads, and that’s enough. It’s a powerful lesson I now carry moving forward.

But, we live in the real world, and it has troubles. All these guys work 80-100 hours a week, and it’s hard for guys like these to find time for Sabbath. And as they are still new believers, their personal struggle with sin makes them feel as though they aren’t good enough to come to God. It’s humbling to help them in their spiritual journey—so would you join me in praying? Pray for real growth, pray for the strength to walk with these guys. Pray for a greater ability to rely on Jesus, because there are millions in this land who are still lost without a revelation of Jesus.

The demand for Bibles has increased since Easter! We used to send out 200-300 every week, but have since jumped to 1000/week—here is what 500 looks like.

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING. And we continue to pray that each person who receives a copy of the Bible encounters Jesus.

I deeply appreciate your prayers and encouragement,

Z
