Disciples who make disciples.
The academic school year ended on July 3rd, which requires time to plan and conduct year-end assessments for our fifteen school facilitators. I also made time to attend to all eight schools’ year-end activities!
I am now considered to be part of the Division of Education Leadership Team, and my presence was expected. The easiest task was to select two dress outfits to alternate 😆! But I must admit, it was a bit of a task to sit through an average of five hours of cultural items such as songs, musicals, spoken word, dances, principal’s addresses, guest speakers, special greetings, and so forth.Â
My greatest joy, though, is to report that two schools emphasized the importance of morals and spirituality through songs and testimony.
Club Axis is a school club to promote practicing good moral values as pillars of a “healthy lifestyle.” During the first week of July, we did training with our Student Executives (five students from each school; a total of 40 students) who were trained in their roles for managing and planning for their schools’ club.Â
Facilitator’s Training—during the last week of September, facilitators met for three days, training and planning in preparation for the Academic year of 2026-27. The Tobago Division of Education High School Supervisor paid us a visit. I am also training my successor, Nigel W.
In August, one of our dear facilitators got married—it’s always such a joy to celebrate with the happy couple. We’ve had five weddings during the years of school ministry! I also attended a retirement celebration for the former Division of Education High School Supervisor and a former School Principal. I’ve known these two ladies for 15 years—we’ve developed such a great friendship, and it was a happy occasion to celebrate their tireless service. Â
Our Church continues to hold a Sunday service, Tuesday fasting and prayer, and Friday online Bible Study. Two years ago, a group of faithful believers gathered to pray each day for the transformation of the nation. We recently gathered for a drive through the communities as we prayed.Â
I thank the Lord for blessing me with belonging to our ACOP Family for the past 58 years! Thank you for your faithful prayers and support—may the Lord bless you all with much fruit as you continue in faithfulness.Â
